Английские синонимы
C6orf140
GLYATL3 belongs to the glycine N-acyltransferase family, Acyltransferase which transfers the acyl group to the N-terminus of glycine. In enzymology, a glycine N-acyltransferase (EC 2.3.1.13) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction: acyl-CoA + glycine <=> CoA + N-acylglycine. Thus, the two substrates of this enzyme are acyl-CoA and glycine, whereas its two products are CoA and N-acylglycine. This enzyme belongs to the family of transferases, specifically those acyltransferases transferring groups other than aminoacyl groups. The systematic name of this enzyme class is acyl-CoA:glycine N-acyltransferase. Other names in common use include glycine acyltransferase, and glycine-N-acylase.
