Isochorismatase Domain Containing Protein 1 (ISOC1)

ISOC1, Belongs to the isochorismatase family. This is a family of hydrolase enzymes. Isochorismatase, also known as 2,3 dihydro-2,3 dihydroxybenzoate synthase catalyses the conversion of isochorismate, in the presence of water, to 2,3-dihydroxybenzoate and pyruvate.Uterine leiomyoma is a most common benign neoplasm in women of reproductive age. It arises from the myometrial compartment of the uterus and may transform in some cases to a malignant phenotype. The first group comprises genes that have not been previously reported as deregulated in fibroids: CLDN1, FGF7 (KGF), HNRPM, ISOC1, MAGEC1 (CT7), MAPK12, RFC, TIE1, TNFRSF21 (DR6).
