Polo Like Kinase 2 (PLK2)

Serum-inducible kinase is a member of the """polo""" family of serine/threonine protein kinases that have a role in normal cell division.The deduced 685-amino acid protein has a calculated molecular mass of about 78 kD and contains an ATP-binding motif within the kinase domain and a conserved polo box. SNK shares about 97% sequence identity with the mouse and rat proteins. Dot blot analysis indicated a ubiquitous low level of SNK expression.
