Regulatory Factor X 7 (RFX7)

RFX7 is a member of the regulatory factor X (RFX) family of transcription factors . The deduced 1,281-amino acid protein is a member of the winged helix family of DNA-binding proteins with high similarity over the DBDs and highest overall similarity to RFX5.RFX7 contains a winged helix region, predicted to interact with the major groove of DNA, and a conserved helix H3 predicted to interact with the minor groove. EST database analysis showed expression of RFX7 in human kidney tumor tissue, thymus, brain, and placenta. A similar widespread pattern of expression was detected for mouse Rfx7 in SAGE libraries.no obvious RFX7 protein interactions in a large-scale yeast 2-hybrid proteome analysis.
