Secretoglobin Family 1C, Member 1 (SCGB1C1)
Английские синонимы
RYD5
The founding member of the secretoglobin family of small, secreted, disulfide-bridged dimeric proteins found only in mammals.Dear et al. (1991) cloned rat Scgb1c1, which they designated Ryd5, from an olfactory mucosa cDNA library. Northern blot analysis detected 3 transcripts in olfactory mucosa total RNA. No expression was detected in rat thymus, lung, brain, liver, kidney, and spleen. The deduced 94-amino acid protein contains an N-terminal signal peptide.Reynolds et al. (2002) identified human SCGB1C1 by database analysis.By genomic sequence analysis, Reynolds et al. (2002) mapped the SCGB1C1 gene to the telomeric region of chromosome 17p.
