ADP Ribosylation Factor Like Protein 10 (ARL10)

ARL10 belongs to the small GTPase superfamily, Arf family. GTPases (singular GTPase) are a large family of hydrolase enzymes that can bind and hydrolyze GTP. The GTP binding and hydrolysis takes place in the highly conserved G domain common to all GTPases.The small GTPase superfamily comprises monomeric GTP-binding proteins with molecular masses usually in the range of 20-25 kDa. The small GTPase superfamily has been found in all eukaryotic organisms, ranging from Giardia to human. Members of the superfamily share approx 30% amino acid sequence identity, with the bulk of this identity derived from four highly conserved domains required for the recognition of GDP, GTP and for GTPase activity.
