Coiled Coil Domain Containing Protein 30 (CCDC30)

A typical polyadenylation signature (ATTAAA) is found at 2427 bp. The protein deduced from the DNA sequence was composed of 572 amino acid residues containing an integrated prefoldin domain and an unintegrated SPEC repeat domain. Simultaneously, Smart analysis on Expasy predicted strongly that the putative protein possesses a PDB domain from 26 to 350 AA. It revealed three coiled-coil domains in the amino acid sequence that overlapped the PDB domain. Since the cDNA encoded protein possesses a functional region highly homologous to prefoldin subunit 6, it was named the human PFD6-like (PFD6L) gene.
