Coiled Coil Domain Containing Protein 73 (CCDC73)

Using SEREX (serologic analysis of recombinant cDNA expression libraries) to identify fibosarcoma antigens recognized by NY-ESO-1 (CTAG1B)-positive fibrosarcoma patient serum, Lee et al. (2003) cloned CCDC73, which they designated NY-SAR-79, from a normal testis cDNA expression library.By genomic sequence analysis, Taylor et al. (2006) mapped the CCDC73 gene, which they called LOC493860, to chromosome 11p13.Aradhya et al. (2001) identified CTAG1A within a duplicated region of chromosome X associated with incontinentia . Sequence analysis showed that the CTAG1A and CTAG1B genes are 100% identical.
