GLCCI1: A Novel Locus for Asthma Lung Function Response to Inhaled Corticosteroids.GLCCI1, significantly associated with FEV1 response to inhaled corticosteroids in each of the three replication populations, using an additive model. Of note, GLCCI1 was also differentially expressed in CAMP B−lymphocyte cell lines upon exposure to dexamethasone.GLCCI1 is a prototypical candidate gene for corticosteroid response in asthma. Using genome−wide association data, GLCCI1 SNP associated with lung function response to inhaled corticosteroids, with replicated associations in three independent populations.
