PHD Finger Protein 13 (PHF13)
Английские синонимы
p-Tau; SPOC1; Survival time-associated PHD finger protein in ovarian cancer 1
PHF13 is a novel PHD-containing protein. It is a tightly regulated chromatin-associated protein capable of modulating chromatin structure and important for proper mitotic chromosome condensation and cell division. The crystal structure human PHF13(232-281) is shown as two antiparallel beta sheets in the core of PHD finger, and two short alpha strands swing at one side of the beta sheets. Similar to other PHD modules, PHF2 PHD finger covers two Zinc finger motifs: residue His257 coordinates one zinc atom with Cys235,Cys237, and Cys260; Cys249 form the second zinc finger motif with C-252 and C-274 and C-277. PHF13 has been tested for association to a disease and proposed to participate in a process. Proteins are expected to have molecular functions and to localize in nucleus.
