Ribosomal Protein L37A (RPL37A)
Английские синонимы
60S ribosomal protein L37a
RPL37A encodes a ribosomal protein that is a component of the 60S subunit. The protein belongs to the L37AE family of ribosomal proteins. It is located in the cytoplasm. The protein contains a C4-type zinc finger-like domain. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins, there are multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene dispersed through the genome. The deduced 92-amino acid protein has a calculated molecular mass of 10.3 kD. It is highly basic and contains a putative zinc finger domain. The human and rat transcripts share 85% nucleotide identity, and the proteins are 100% identical. Northern blot analysis detected RPL37A expression in normal human lymphocytes and in human neuroblastoma and Molt4 cells. Variable Rpl37a expression was detected in all rat tissues examined.
