Hypotaurine uptake into rat placental brush border membrane vesicles and HEK293 cells expressing mouse Slc6a13 was measured using LC-MS/MS. Hypotaurine uptake into HEK293 cells expressing mouse Slc6a13 was significantly higher than that into mock cells, and the inhibitory characteristics of hypotaurine uptake via mouse Slc6a13 was similar to into BBMVs.
