TBC1 Domain Family, Member 19 (TBC1D19)
TBC1d19 was found to be expressed in the sensory epithelium of the mouse cochlear duct. the gene has been proposed to participate in a process. Expression of Runx2, Wnt 10A, and TBC1D19 colocalized with DLX3 expression in odontoblasts, and MT-DLX3 significantly reduced expression of all three genes. TBC1D19 functions in cell polarity and decreased TBC1D19 expression may contribute to the observed disruption of odontoblast polarity and apoptosis. TBC1d19, which interacts with the PCP protein Vangl2 and plays an important role in both of these processes. TBC1d19 may provide the missing link believed to couple the PCP pathway to microtubules and cilia.
