Zinc Finger Protein 250 (ZNF250)

ZNF250 May be involved in transcriptional regulation. Belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have a wide variety of functions, most of which encompass some form of transcriptional activation or repression. As a member of the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, ZNF250 (Zinc finger protein 250), also known as Zinc finger protein 647, is a 560 amino acid nuclear protein that contains one KRAB domain and 13 C2H2-type zinc fingers. ZNF250 seems be involved in cell proliferation and may play a role in growth regulation. There are two isoforms of ZNF250 that are produced as a result of alternative splicing events.
