Zinc Finger Protein 318 (ZNF318)

ZNF318, Contains 2 matrin-type zinc fingers. Expressed in endocrine tissue. Interacts with the N-terminal domain of AR. Repressed AR-mediated transcriptional activation. May act as a transcriptional regulator during spermatogenesis and, in particular, during meiotic divisionZNF318/TZF is a Cys2-His2 type zinc-finger protein that has been found to function as a corepressor of the androgen receptor (AR). Co-repression by TZF is accomplished via the recruitment of histone deacetylase 2 to agonist-bound AR and the impairment of intranuclear foci formation by agonist-bound AR.
